Costa Adeje is located in the south of Tenerife. The town is part of the expanding municipality of Adeje. Tenerife's southern airport is 20 kilometers from the city. The capital Santa Cruz de Tenerife is about eighty kilometers away. The Teide National Park is just over ten kilometers away.
In Costa Adeje the sun shines on average at least six hours a day all year round. It does not matter at what time you want a last minute to Tenerife, you are always sure of the sun. Temperatures quickly rise to early thirty degrees. The sea has a temperature of a pleasant 25 degrees.
Autumn is also wonderful on Costa Adeje. The average maximum temperature then fluctuates between 20 and 25 degrees and it does not often get colder than fifteen degrees. A lot of people therefore opt for an autumn or winter break on Tenerife.
Adeje was one of the last areas to be included in the Castilla Empire in 1496. The city soon became an important place for Spanish colonialists. Due to the rich past, there are a lot of remains in the area. There is the defense line called Strong House from 1555 and the Santa Ursula church from 1586. Tourism in Costa Adeje started in 1965.
As mentioned above, a visit to the Strong House and the Santa Ursula Church is well worth it. Here you can taste the rich history of the city. Unfortunately, the Strong House cannot be visited from the inside. Nevertheless, the facade is fascinating. The historic Convent from 1679 is open to the public. And the Casa del Duque from the early twentieth century is also worth your time.

The Teide National Park covers most of the island of Tenerife. The gigantic nature park has the third largest volcano in the world with Mount Teide. In addition, there is a second volcano Pico Viejo. In addition, there are several craters. Also nice are the special rock formations.

The biggest attraction is of course the beach. On many days the El Duque beach is wonderfully sheltered from the wind. However, there are sometimes days when the wind comes from the south or southwest. Then the sea can be very rough and there is a signal with red flags to warn against the strong current that is there.

Costa Adeje has a number of great theme parks. Siam Park water park is one of the most spectacular parks in the world. The complex consists of 185,000 square meters of water fun. Try the Tower of Power (a 28 meter long almost vertical drop) here. Do you prefer to rest? A visit to the Aqua Club Termal is then ideal. This is 6,000 square feet furnished especially for relaxation.
Tenerife is one of the best dolphin and whale watching places in the world. A boat trip, good binoculars and a sharp eye increase the chances of spotting these special animals. Another fun option is an underwater safari.
